it’s been 14 days in my new place on e 52nd street. it’s wonderful being back in the neighborhood – kind of feel like i never left. nothing wrong with being uptown, the 70’s are fun but the 50’s feel more like home.
needless to say the movers showed up. although i’ve been here 14 days, minus 3 in baltimore, my place looks like i just moved in yesterday.
14 days to get phone/ internet & tv but the cable guys came yesterday. they gave me the worst phone number in america & i think there should be a new law passed in an effort to protect the self esteem of manhattanites. anyone who has endured the trials of living in this city for 15 or more years should be entitled to a 212 area code. or maybe something like, if you’re under 30 years old you have to trade your 212 for a 646 – give it up for the people who have earned a 212. something should be done. luckily, finally having internet service has allowed me to focus on the 4 million e-mails i’ve neglected, leaving little time to wallow in self pity over the phone number debacle.
very busy but having fun and so happy to be back!
