i want to take this time to publicly thank the city for it’s sheer awesomeness! just imagine all of the greatness that is unfolding on this tiny island as i write . it’s almost hard to wrap your head around it all . . . .

loving living zen in the city.

P.S. New York is beautiful but nothing can beat a drive on the LSD ( Lake Shore Drive) in Sweet Home Chicago! Better pizza too!

yes, lake shore drive is very nice but we will have to agree to disagree on the pizza thing. . .

I propose a compromise and that we both agree like pizza?

i lived in cali for 2 years (san diego) and in addition to living there, have visited probably a minimum of 25 times – not once have i been to sf! people who know how much i love nyc have so often told me over the years about how much i would love sf. i think it’s entirely possible that the reason i haven’t been is because i get nervous they may be right –
and i don’t want to leave nyc!!!!!

After reading your post and the comments, this theme song from the TV sit-com, Green Acres popped into my head.
For those who never saw the show, it involves a New York City lawyer (Eddie Albert) who decides to leave the city and all its charms and perks for the farm life.
His wife (Eva Gabor) reluctantly goes with him to a rundown farm (a money pit) where he attempts to be a farmer.
He sings:
“Green acres is the place for me.
Farm livin’ is the life for me.
Land spreadin’ out so far and wide
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside.”
She sings:
“New York is where I’d rather stay.
I get allergic smelling hay.
I just adore a penthouse view.
Dah-ling I love you but give me Park Avenue.”
Then they take turns:
…The chores.
…The stores.
…Fresh air.
…Times Square
You are my wife.
Good bye, city life.
Both sing:
Green Acres we are there.
